Our Team

Michelle Guadalupe Felix Garcia

Michelle Guadalupe Felix Garcia is a Mexican audio engineer, and a graduate of the San Diego State University Music Recording Technology and Audio Design program.

Michelle’s passion for sound began when she taught herself audio hardware and editing skills at the age of 13. Her live audio career started to take shape four years later, at a Coldplay concert, where she had the chance to play piano with the band, and witness their team working together to bring the show to life.

After graduating with honors, Michelle began advocating for equal employment opportunities by educating others in the industry about the capabilities and competence of audio professionals who are blind or have low vision. Through a 20-video Frequently Asked Questions series about how blind audio professionals work with digital audio workstations, Michelle generated more than half a million views.

Her current goals include becoming a working member of the industry she has helped shape.

Ritchell Lim

Ritchell Lim is a studio and live sound engineer from Perth, Western Australia, who is totally blind. She started as a songwriter and recording artist, graduating from university with a bachelor’s degree in music in 2018.

In 2022, Ritchell decided to start teaching herself audio engineering, and went on to mix her fourth full-length record “Paradise” in 2023. In 2024, Ritchell became certified in Dante Levels 1 & 2 despite numerous accessibility challenges.

She now regularly runs sound for a local church and recently became employed by an AV company. Ritchell is passionate about advocating for inclusion in the audio industry and is always looking for ways to break accessibility barriers and spread awareness.

David Helberg

David has been on all sides of the stage – as a musician, touring engineer, PM, TM, recording studio owner, and venue manager.

As part of his current role, he is responsible for purchasing, installing, and maintaining production gear in Live Nation owned and operated venues.

After a chance meeting with a young, female, Mexican, blind audio engineer on a job search (Michelle Felix), David realized the need for advocacy. Through technology and awareness, he hopes to break down barriers for audio professionals who are blind or have low vision to have equal access to careers in live entertainment.

Jason Vrobel

Jason has worked as a Festival Audio Director, Project Manager, Staffing Coordinator, Trainer and Touring System Engineer. His current position is Account Executive / Sales for Eighth Day Sound and Clair Global Integration. Prior to Audio, Jason was an Operations Specialist in the United States Navy.

Throughout his career, Jason has worked to help develop the next generation of touring audio technicians.

He believes that everyone who would like to work in our industry should have the chance, and that the tools should work for everyone.

Rick Roman

Rick was born and raised in Chicago, to a hard-working family of Mexican heritage. He worked alongside them in the hospitality industry, but eventually his love of music pushed him to pursue a career in audio.

During his 18 years as a touring audio technician, he realized how impactful his role in bringing entertainment and happiness to people around the world was.

After deciding to come off the road, Rick began his work as a project manager for tours, events and installations.

His role on the board of Audio Accessibility Alliance allows him to bring the best of his professional and personal experience to the table.

Jon Lemon

Jon is an award-winning mixing engineer who has spent decades behind the console with artists including The Cure, Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, Roger Waters, Sia, and Lana Del Rey, among many others. Diagnosed with Stargardts disease at an early age, Jon has navigated the analogue world and experienced firsthand how technology can both open and close doors.

His involvement in the early stages of text-to-speech programs has given him a profound appreciation of including the end-user in the development process. Where sighted audio professionals see barriers, those who are blind or have low vision can discover innovative pathways.

Jon joined the Audio Accessibility Alliance to help create a live sound industry that is more inclusive, practical, and standardized to drive pathways for the best audio professionals to thrive in the industry he has long called home.
